As a Software Engineer Developer at Millennium Space Systems, you will join the information technology department to manage and maintain Atlassian products as primary program management tools. Your daily work involves coordinating maintenance, performing data migrations, and providing technical training and support to users across the organization. To succeed in this role, you must possess experience with JIRA administration, web application administration, and programming in Python, Java, SQL, JSON, and Groovy. You should also be comfortable with Linux server concepts including patching and networking. This position supports the development of small satellite technology for national security space missions, specifically addressing critical needs such as missile warning and Earth observation.

What you'll do

Build and maintain projects, workflows, issues, and permissions within JIRA to support program requirements.
Monitor the health of JIRA servers and other Atlassian tools to ensure maximum data availability.
Create and manage multiple JIRA environments for development, testing, and production purposes.
Perform data migrations between different JIRA environments as necessary.
Provide technical support and training to users on JIRA and other Atlassian products.
Create and maintain documentation regarding the design and usage of internal Atlassian tools.

What we're looking for

Must have 3+ years of JIRA and general Atlassian product administration experience.
Must have 3+ years of general web application administration experience.
Must have programming experience with Python, Java, SQL, JSON, and Groovy.
Must have experience with modern web application administration.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 for export control compliance.
Must possess an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Experience with GitLab or similar version control tools (preferred).
Experience with Confluence, engineering/aerospace environments, or enterprise application services (preferred).
