What you'll do

  • Design and implement new AI-enabled document interfaces for Oracle’s multi-model database.
  • Architect and optimize SQL/JSON engine features, focusing on query processing and indexing at scale.
  • Ensure feature parity and compatibility between Oracle API and MongoDB to facilitate seamless migrations.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand migration needs and provide technical guidance during transitions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to enhance product quality and development processes.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in database systems and software development.
  • Strong background in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system-level thinking.
  • Proficient programming skills with expertise in Java; knowledge of C, C++, Rust beneficial.
  • Experience with SQL and document/NoSQL query models like MongoDB or Oracle Database.
  • Hands-on experience with full-text search engines such as Lucene, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
  • Ability to design and implement high-performance database features for large-scale workloads.
  • Comfortable working directly with customers on migration projects and technical adoption.
