Software Engineer 5, Content & Business Products

What you'll do

• Build and maintain resilient, high-scale, low-latency distributed microservices in production environments.
• Design and implement APIs using gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful standards.
• Architect and operate distributed systems with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Set technical directions for engineering projects and make key architectural decisions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders to drive project decisions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews.
• Automate and optimize content creation workflows for planning, production, and distribution.
• Vet and implement AI-driven development tools to boost team productivity.

What we're looking for

• You have 5+ years of experience crafting resilient, high-scale, low-latency, distributed microservices in production environments.
• You are proficient with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation.
• You have recent proficient experience with Java, C#, or other OO programming languages with a solid understanding of OO design principles.
• You have a proven track record in architecting, building, and operating distributed systems with high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
• You have solid experience in setting technical directions, making architectural decisions, and influencing partner and cross-functional teams.
• You can proactively describe complex technical concepts to stakeholders through written and/or verbal communication.
• You can participate in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews.
• You leverage AI-assisted coding tools and vet new AI-driven development tools to boost productivity (preferred).
