What you'll do

Build and iterate on agentic systems including tools, planning loops, and safety mechanisms.
Develop reliable capabilities to improve incident detection, diagnosis, and mitigation for Azure services.
Design and maintain resilient, observable systems that operate safely in production environments.
Use telemetry, experiments, and user feedback to guide product iteration and investment.
Resolve ambiguous problems by partnering with SREs and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in debugging, live-site learning, and post-incident hardening to improve system quality.
Contribute to architecture, engineering standards, and development practices across the team.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
At least 2 years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Preferred: 4+ years of technical engineering experience with additional proficiency in Go.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience building and operating cloud platforms or distributed services.
Preferred: Hands-on experience building and operating generative AI or agentic systems in production.
Preferred: Experience designing, running, and optimizing evaluations for agentic systems including tools, prompts, and loops.
Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, or cloud-native infrastructure.
