What you'll do

Act as the single-threaded owner for all Agent and device network health.
Drive operational improvements to achieve 99.99% network availability.
Implement highly-available software to drive networking control plane operations on physical and remote nodes.
Define and automate processes for software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Manage network software nodes written in C and Rust.
Oversee the design, building, and operation of a massive satellite constellation and terrestrial network.
Coordinate with ground control services, customer engagement systems, and monitoring services to fine-tune the network.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of engineering team management experience.
7+ years of engineering experience.
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
1+ years of technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
1+ years of experience with service-oriented architecture and distributed programming in large-scale systems.
Knowledge of engineering practices for full software/hardware/network lifecycles including coding standards, source control, and livesite operations.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Experience communicating technical designs and strategy to users, other technical teams, and senior leadership (preferred).
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching Software Engineers (preferred).
