As a Software Development Manager, you will join the engineering team to provide both people leadership and technical direction for multiple related development efforts. You will manage and mentor a team of software developers while overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. Your daily work involves staying engaged in technical design regarding test automation frameworks, data mapping, ETL-related validation, and engineering best practices like CI/CD and agile methodologies. The role requires leveraging your background in SDET and automation engineering to build robust applications. You will collaborate with architects and stakeholders while managing both onshore and offshore teams. Key technologies include SQL, MPP database systems, and potentially cloud platforms or AI tools. Manage and mentor a team of software developers to foster engineering excellence and accountability.
Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable and maintainable software solutions.
Provide hands-on technical leadership for test automation frameworks and engineering quality practices.
Apply SDET-inspired best practices regarding coding standards, testability, and continuous integration.
Partner with stakeholders to define technical solutions, delivery plans, and product roadmaps.
Review technical designs, code quality, and release readiness to ensure successful execution.
Oversee the performance and development of multiple teams across onshore and offshore models.
Drive improvements in engineering processes including agile delivery, CI/CD, and automated testing.
What we're looking for
5–10 years of experience in software development or related engineering roles with progressive responsibility in technical leadership or people management.
Prior hands-on experience in SDET, automation engineering, or test framework development is required.
Strong experience with test automation, particularly in data mapping validation and ETL-related testing.
Proven ability to lead a development team while remaining engaged in technical design and architecture discussions.
Experience working with distributed teams, including onshore and offshore consultants and full-time employees.
Strong understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and engineering best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with OLTP/MPP databases, SQL, cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, tax reporting, or AI/ML concepts (preferred).
