As a Lead, Software Engineer within PGIM Product Technology, you will design and deliver modern, high-performance user interfaces with a primary focus on ReactJS-based front-end development. You will lead a small engineering team to build scalable, reusable UI components and front-end architectures while collaborating with product owners and designers to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. Your daily work involves coding, testing, and debugging applications using React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, .NET, Python, and SQL/NoSQL databases. You will also manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps within a cloud-native Microsoft Azure environment. This role solves complex business needs by establishing architectural standards for UI components, state management, and API integration patterns to ensure reliable, accessible, and visually consistent digital experiences.
Design and implement scalable UI architectures using React, TypeScript, and modern front-end patterns.
Build and maintain full-stack solutions integrating React front-ends with .NET backend services and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Translate complex business requirements into well-designed technical solutions and UI components.
Establish application architecture standards for state management, API integration, and component design.
Lead a small engineering team by providing technical direction, code reviews, and mentorship.
Collaborate with Infrastructure and DevOps teams to define and extend CI/CD pipelines.
Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and coding standards.
Ensure data integrity and performance by designing effective schemas and data access patterns.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on enterprise-scale web applications and React-based front-end development.
Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks for building scalable and accessible user interfaces.
Experience developing SSR-based React applications (e.g., Next.js, Node.js) and building UI using Microsoft Power pages.
Strong experience designing and building backend services using .NET, including API design, security, and performance optimization.
Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including designing efficient data models and queries.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud-native application development, deployments, and production operations.
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to engineering teams.
Financial Services industry experience—particularly within Asset Management, institutional funds, or mutual funds (preferred).
Microsoft or cloud-related certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate (preferred).
