What you'll do

Lead a team of engineers building and operating the Graviton bare-metal virtualization layer using KVM/QEMU.
Manage the VM lifecycle, including subsystem provisioning, health monitoring, and fault recovery for virtual entities.
Own the custom AMI pipeline, provisioning scripts, and plugin framework for deploying satellite software onto emulated LRUs.
Drive platform reliability to 99.96% availability while optimizing VirtSat spin-up latency to under five minutes.
Scale the simulation platform to support over 4,000 concurrent virtual entities.
Define the technical roadmap for fidelity improvements including HSM crypto, EFUSE, and CAN bus simulations.
Reduce Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) dependency by expanding the scope of tests running on the VirtSat platform.
Hire, develop, and retain top-tier embedded engineering talent.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in people management, specifically managing engineers.
Experience with embedded systems, Linux systems programming, or virtualization (KVM/QEMU).
Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale using AWS services like EC2, ECS, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK or CloudFormation.
Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineering teams.
