What you'll do

Own the team roadmap and ensure the execution of strategic visions.
Gather customer requirements and prioritize software projects for system delivery.
Mentor and develop engineers to improve their technical skills and growth.
Lead the development of distributed software systems for satellite and ground station operations.
Provide technical guidance to ensure design and test objectives are met for broad-scope projects.
Identify product risks and communicate mitigation strategies across multiple engineering teams.
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project success and meet deadlines.
Optimize system performance and schedules while managing multiple competing priorities.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
3+ years of engineering team management experience.
7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle (preferred).
Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe product strategy (preferred).
Export control laws and regulations, candidates.
