As a Software Development Manager within the Amazon Leo Network Observability and AI Foundations team, you will lead a diverse group of engineers to build critical infrastructure for satellite-based broadband connectivity. What you'll do

Build observability systems to detect network connectivity issues from satellite to terrestrial services.
Pioneer agentic AI for satellite network diagnostics to report and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
Design software systems and interfaces in coordination with peer teams and customers.
Develop a strategic growth plan for the team's software services and organizational structure.
Hire, mentor, and develop a diverse team of software engineers.
Lead the design of mission-critical systems within the Amazon Leo network.
Manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle including coding standards and live site operations.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of engineering team management experience.
7+ years of engineering experience.
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
1+ years of technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
1+ years of experience with service-oriented architecture and distributed programming for large-scale systems.
