As a Software Dev Engineer II, Atlas Telemetry, you will join the Atlas team to build and maintain the backbone software infrastructure for Amazon Leo. You will develop systems and services for ingesting, processing, and visualizing vast amounts of satellite telemetry data while building real-time monitoring systems to identify anomalies and detect emerging trends. Your daily work involves ensuring high reliability, uptime, and performance for systems managing telemetry streams from thousands of endpoints. You will utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build high-available software services. The role requires proficiency in C#, C++, Java, or Perl, along with experience in Object Oriented Design and distributed software applications. You will solve critical problems regarding multi-region telemetry data ingestion, health monitoring, and trend analysis for the satellite constellation.
Create systems and services for ingesting, processing, and visualizing vast amounts of satellite telemetry data.
Build real-time monitoring systems to identify anomalies and detect emerging trends.
Develop proactive alerting systems to notify stakeholders of critical situations requiring intervention.
Ensure high reliability, uptime, and performance for systems managing telemetry streams from thousands of endpoints.
Develop software systems that meet specific mission criteria and technical requirements.
Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build high-availability software services.
Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, or distributed software applications and tools.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
