Software Development Engineer (Developer Experience and Platform Tools)

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain the end-to-end architecture, code, and data models for platform qualification and test automation services.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, promotion gates, and release engineering practices for internal compute platforms.
• Automate software qualification processes to accelerate the transition of new hardware and OS releases to production.
• Manage release engineering for both x86 and Apple Silicon server architectures across multiple sites.
• Write and review high-quality code and technical design documentation for infrastructure services.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to triage, investigate, and resolve production issues alongside the SRE team.
• Partner with cross-functional hardware and software teams to integrate automated qualification into every release cycle.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience.
• 3+ years of experience in related software development or comparable academic experience.
• Demonstrated ability to design, debug, and test complex software systems.
• Experience designing and building CI/CD systems, build/release pipelines, or developer tooling for other engineering teams.
• Experience with test automation at scale, including designing frameworks and managing infrastructure.
• Strong fundamentals of distributed systems and operating systems, including debugging at the OS and hardware boundary.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python to build services, CLIs, and web UIs.
• Experience qualifying software across multiple CPU architectures (x86_64 and arm64/Apple silicon).
