As a Senior Platform Software Engineer, AI Acceleration, Developer Tools, you will join the team to design and build AI-powered developer tools and platform capabilities aimed at improving productivity across software development, testing, debugging, delivery, and operational workflows. To succeed, you must possess strong engineering fundamentals in distributed systems, cloud services, and developer infrastructure. You will navigate ambiguous problem spaces to solve complex technical issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate tools like coding assistants and automated testing systems into the broader developer experience.

What you'll do

Design and build AI-powered tools and platform capabilities to improve developer productivity across software workflows.
Build prototypes to experiment with emerging technologies, evaluate models, and test agentic approaches.
Develop production services integrating LLMs, retrieval systems, orchestration, and intelligent automation.
Own the full engineering lifecycle for components including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability.
Resolve ambiguous problems by breaking down complex requirements into actionable engineering challenges.
Contribute to architecture decisions to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
Build automated evaluation mechanisms using telemetry and feedback to improve AI experience quality.
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems and AI components.

What we're looking for

5+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
Strong skills in building distributed systems, cloud services, developer infrastructure, or large-scale backend systems.
Experience with or strong interest in LLMs, generative AI, AI agents, and related technologies.
Ability to work effectively with ambiguous requirements and break down complex problems into actionable tasks.
Experience designing reliable production software including APIs, scalability, testing, observability, performance, and security.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience building AI-powered developer tools, coding assistants, or developer productivity platforms (preferred).
Practical experience with LLMs, agentic workflows, context engineering, retrieval, and AI evaluation techniques (preferred).
