The Software Development Analyst (Level 2 or Level 3) joins the Business Management Technology team within the Aeronautics Systems sector. This role involves supporting the design, development, deployment, and sustainment of applications and utilities for Cost and Schedule Management and Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis teams. The successful candidate will engage with internal customers to define requirements and communicate complex software engineering concepts across cross-functional teams. Daily tasks include developing and documenting enterprise-wide tools in both classified and unclassified environments. Technical requirements include proficiency in the three-tier web development stack featuring MS SQL Server, .NET, C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additional skills involve SQL, T-SQL, and Object Oriented Programming. The role addresses critical business problems related to cost accounting, earned value management systems, and financial reporting within a high-security aerospace environment.
Engage with internal customers to define application and utility requirements.
Communicate complex software engineering and information system concepts to stakeholders and leadership.
Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise-wide applications.
Maintain and document software systems in both classified and unclassified network environments.
Develop and debug three-tier web applications using .NET, C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Manage and query relational databases using SQL and T-SQL.
Sustain and develop RESTful APIs and other backend services for cost and schedule management.
What we're looking for
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) and Top Secret clearances.
U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with government clearance.
For Level 2, a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering is required.
For Level 3, a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering is required.
Must have intermediate knowledge of software development concepts including algorithm development, data structures, and Object Oriented Programming.
Must have moderate experience with relational databases (SQL, T-SQL) and three-tier web development stacks (.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Must possess strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and presentation skills to work effectively on project teams.
