What you'll do

Lead architecture and delivery of cloud-scale backend services for OCI's WAF platform.
Design and evolve scalable policy management and threat detection systems with reliability focus.
Build distributed systems to inspect high volumes of HTTP/HTTPS traffic efficiently.
Drive technical strategy for application security services across multiple engineering teams.
Establish operational excellence through SLOs, incident response processes, and continuous improvement.
Lead automation initiatives in CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.

What we're looking for

7+ years of experience building production software systems in cloud or SaaS environments.
Strong proficiency in Java, Go, Python, C++, or Rust for developing large-scale distributed services.
Deep expertise in designing scalable and resilient distributed systems with concurrency and fault tolerance.
Extensive knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, TLS, reverse proxies, caching, load balancing, and web application architectures.
Proven experience with cloud-native technologies like containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automated testing frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions across multiple engineering teams.
