What you'll do

  • Direct the engineering team in developing board support packages, device drivers, bootloaders, and low-level diagnostics.
  • Lead technical architecture decisions for hardware abstraction, OS/RTOS integration, and interface layers.
  • Manage section budgets, project timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery of software artifacts.
  • Hire, mentor, and perform performance reviews for a team of board support software engineers.
  • Ensure all software complies with military standards, special access requirements, and contract data requirements.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes for embedded systems.
  • Define the technical roadmap for board support capabilities aligned with corporate technology strategies.
  • Participate in customer proposals, technical reviews, and audits to ensure product quality and compliance.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Work-related experience ( in a management role preferred).
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Knowledge and use of Linux, Unix, Git, Bitbucket, Java, C#, C++, C, Python, and QT.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO 14001, OHSAS18001, and CMMI standards.
  • Experience with Earned Value Measurement Systems (EVMS).
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a secret clearance.
