TL;DR · Firmware/Software System Engineering Program Manager
The Firmware/Software System Engineering Program Manager joins the Human Interface Devices organization to lead the development of hardware, firmware, and software for products like trackpads, keyboards, and wearables. This role manages the end-to-end program plan, including schedule creation, critical path management, and risk mitigation across firmware and system integration workstreams from concept through mass production. You will drive convergence by managing bug tracking, running triage meetings, and providing data-driven projections for release readiness. Key responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, facilitating phase gate reviews, and ensuring factory and field readiness. The role requires a technical foundation in embedded firmware and software systems to navigate architecture tradeoffs and integration dependencies. Candidates should possess skills in Agile methodologies, executive communication, and AI fluency to accelerate program deliverables like risk dashboards and status reports within the consumer electronics domain.
