As an SoC Test Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will play a critical role in the characterization, qualification, and production of high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chip devices. Your daily responsibilities involve developing and documenting test plans for new devices, designing and debugging test software and hardware, and evaluating product testability and operability to ensure efficient mass production solutions. You will work with ATE platforms such as Teradyne UFlex/J750/ip750 and Advantest 93k while utilizing programming languages including PERL, C/C++, and Visual Basic. The role requires expertise in semiconductor test methodology, digital VLSI SoC, and electronic engineering fundamentals like Design for Test and manufacturing concepts. You will also utilize technical tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug new silicon and coordinate activities across various functional areas.
Develop and document comprehensive test plans for new SoC devices.
Design and debug automated test equipment (ATE) software and hardware.
Debug new silicon during the characterization and qualification phases.
Implement high-quality, efficient test solutions for mass production.
Evaluate new products for testability and operability.
Utilize ATE platforms like Teradyne or Advantest to develop test programs.
Write and debug test scripts using Perl, C/C++, or Visual Basic.
Use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to troubleshoot hardware issues.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
Strong programming skills for writing and debugging test programs and hardware development (preferred).
Proficiency in scripting languages like PERL and high-level languages like C/C++ or Visual Basic (preferred).
Deep understanding of ATE testers, test programs, and semiconductor test methodology (preferred).
Experience working on digital VLSI SoC (preferred).
Deep understanding of electronic engineering fundamentals, design for test, manufacturing concepts, and semiconductor manufacturing processes (preferred).
Ability to work with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers (preferred).
