The SMPES Application Support Engineer Junior joins a team providing critical IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. You will also utilize tools for vulnerability scanning, static/dynamic analysis, and automated security testing to manage risks within complex defense mission system environments.

What you'll do

Integrate security practices into all phases of application deployment.
Design and implement secure architectures prioritizing systems engineering and cybersecurity.
Manage data pipelines and enterprise data platforms.
Administer application server architectures in large enterprise environments using WebLogic, JBoss, or WebSphere.
Evaluate and improve DevSecOps pipelines through automated security testing and CI/CD technologies.
Perform vulnerability scanning, static/dynamic analysis, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security.
Manage infrastructure migration strategies and software optimization.
Provide 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

What we're looking for

Must be a United States citizen.
Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
Must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data pipeline development, or data platform management.
Must possess an ITIL Foundations v5 Certificate.
Must obtain DoD 8140 Certification within 9 months of hire.
Experience with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and enterprise IT systems is required.
US Citizenship.
