What you'll do

Define and drive the strategic roadmap for Apple Maps serving infrastructure with engineering and product teams.
Lead and grow a large SRE organization while establishing standards for technical excellence and operational rigor.
Translate reliability requirements into specific architecture decisions and investment priorities during cross-functional planning.
Drive automation, capacity strategy, and systems design to move beyond reactive incident response.
Execute an AI strategy to integrate ML-powered tooling for toil reduction and faster root cause analysis.
Integrate AI-assisted tools like intelligent runbooks and LLM-based diagnostics into daily SRE workflows.
Mentor and develop internal leaders while fostering a culture of experimentation with modern technologies.
Communicate infrastructure strategy, trade-offs, and progress reports to executive leadership.

What we're looking for

10-15+ years of experience in SRE or adjacent disciplines like systems, infrastructure, or production engineering.
At least 10 years of experience in senior management roles.
Demonstrated experience leading SRE organizations supporting large-scale, user-facing distributed services.
Technical proficiency in Linux fundamentals, distributed systems concepts, networking, and infrastructure at scale.
Experience applying AI/ML tooling or LLM-based solutions to improve SRE or infrastructure operations.
Ability to read, understand, and evaluate code produced by LLMs for production use.
Proven ability to communicate at the executive level and negotiate across organizational boundaries.
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, capacity planning, or performance engineering.
