What you'll do

Design and implement resilient, scalable infrastructure solutions based on product team requirements.
Operate, monitor, and triage all aspects of production and non-production environments.
Develop and implement automation to provision, configure, deploy, and monitor Apple services.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system reliability, security, and performance.
Participate in an oncall rotation to provide technical expertise during service-impacting events.
Contribute to capacity planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery exercises.
Solve operational problems using a software engineering mindset and data-driven principles.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps focused role.
BS degree in computer science or an equivalent field with 5+ years of experience.
Knowledge of Linux operating system principles, networking fundamentals, and systems management.
Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, or Go.
Experience managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment.
Familiarity with micro-services architecture and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Understanding of SRE principles including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and automation.
Awareness of key security principles including encryption and key exchange protocols.
