What you'll do

Own end-to-end reliability for the ServiceNow platform, including incident response and performance engineering.
Troubleshoot incidents and lead blameless post-mortems to drive non-recurrence actions.
Define and defend SLIs/SLOs while improving telemetry, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
Perform design reviews for platform implementations and ensure adherence to architecture standards.
Optimize performance through JVM memory tuning, garbage collection, and database query refactoring.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate incident triage and identify reliability risks.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification and 3+ years of applied experience in site reliability engineering concepts.
10+ years of experience in technical support, software development, performance load testing, or professional services.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .Net.
Expertise in scripting using JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix shell, or Windows PowerShell.
Strong RDBMS experience (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server/PostgreSQL) and performance tuning including JVM memory and garbage collection.
Expert-level understanding of web application stack components and experience debugging object-oriented code like Java.
Working knowledge of using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for SRE workflows with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
ServiceNow CSA certification or prior ServiceNow architecture exposure (preferred); Cloud/SaaS, ITSM/ITIL, and Linux/Unix administration (preferred).
