What you'll do

  • Lead the effort to port SONiC onto new Cisco ASICs and virtual platforms.
  • Integrate and fine-tune SAI and Syncd layers for hardware-specific SDK calls.
  • Own the bring-up of peripheral components through Platform APIs and BSP.
  • Design and execute end-to-end qualification cycles for performance benchmarks.
  • Develop massive regression test suites using Pytest, PTF, and Ansible.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of failures during bring-up using GDB and Tcpdump.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in hardware bring-up or NOS platform engineering.
  • Experience qualifying networking platforms for high-scale data center deployments.
  • Strong Python skills for building automated test frameworks and REST/gRPC API interactions.
  • Deep understanding of Linux systems, including kernel drivers and containerization.
  • Familiarity with SONiC architecture and SAI standard for switch abstraction.
