What you'll do

Operate fabricating machines including shears, brakes, bending rolls, and punch and drill presses to cut and shape metal.
Shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using a hammer.
Set up and operate soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts.
Smooth seams, joints, and burred surfaces using files, portable grinders, or buffers.
Install assemblies according to blueprints, engineering sketches, and written instructions.
Inspect installations for conformance with specifications using calipers, scales, and micrometers.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

What we're looking for

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
1 to 3 years of related sheet-metal fabrication experience is required.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and working with metals is required.
Ability to operate fabricating machines, soldering/welding equipment, and power tools like grinders is required.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers is required.
Technical or vocational training is preferred.
