Leidos seeks a ServiceNow Software Development Manager to join its Digital Modernization Sector in Lorton, VA. This role involves hands-on development and management of self-hosted ServiceNow implementations for Federal Government clients, requiring deep expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM modules, and infrastructure components like Red Hat Enterprise Linux and MariaDB. The manager will lead a team in developing complex features, optimizing instances, and ensuring compliance with security policies while collaborating closely with cloud infrastructure teams to maintain system stability. Key responsibilities include providing technical guidance, mentoring developers, and working with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, extensive ServiceNow development experience, and a proven track record in managing self-hosted instances within a DoD environment.
Provide technical direction and oversight to the ServiceNow development team.
Serve as the primary developer for complex features and integrations in ServiceNow.
Manage all technical aspects of a self-hosted ServiceNow instance, including upgrades and patching.
Work closely with cloud infrastructure teams to manage the self-hosted environment.
Develop business process maps using ServiceNow methodology and toolset.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and classified environment protocols.
Configure and maintain Discovery for automatic infrastructure classification.
What we're looking for
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or ability to obtain it.
At least 6 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Proven track record managing and maintaining a self-hosted ServiceNow instance.
Expertise in MariaDB database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration and security hardening.
Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and lead project teams.
Strong understanding of ITIL concepts applied within the ServiceNow platform.
