What you'll do

  • Synthesize complex data from internal findings and external sources into actionable threat briefings for senior leadership.
  • Lead hypothesis-driven threat hunts across internal networks, cloud environments, and endpoints to uncover sophisticated intrusions.
  • Map threat actor footprints internally by pivoting through EDR telemetry.
  • Analyze adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to identify shifts in execution and lateral movement.
  • Trace external adversary infrastructure using domain registrations, SSL certificates, and passive DNS.
  • Monitor malware developments and use YARA rules to track new malware families.
  • Develop refined hunting strategies to anticipate and counter changes in threat actor tradecraft.

What we're looking for

  • A background in threat research, threat intelligence, or threat hunting.
  • Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including threat actors and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in large datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of YARA for tracking malware families and validation best practices.
  • Understanding of software vulnerabilities and ability to implement hunting strategies to track exploitation.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, CISA KEV, EPSS, AMITT, and MISP Galaxy.
  • Knowledge of malware analysis tools and techniques, including static/dynamic analysis, sandboxing, and debugging.
  • Technical writing skills; EDR understanding and certifications like CMA, CREA, or GREM are preferred.
