What you'll do

  • Conduct hypothesis-driven hunts across enterprise networks using threat intelligence and adversary TTPs.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of logs, endpoint telemetry, and network data to identify malicious activity.
  • Develop scripts and automated analytics to improve detection capabilities and identify visibility gaps.
  • Translate hunt findings into actionable improvements such as updated playbooks and detection enhancements.
  • Document repeatable workflows, standard operating procedures, and detailed hunt reports for stakeholders.
  • Brief leadership and mission stakeholders on emerging threats and recommended defensive improvements.
  • Collaborate with SOC, IR, and CTI teams to operationalize intelligence and integrate new data sources.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing adversary behaviors and executing structured, hypothesis-driven hunt operations.
  • Experience conducting hunts aligned with MITRE ATT&CK and frameworks like Splunk PEAK.
  • Experience leveraging threat intelligence and emerging adversary TTPs to develop hunt hypotheses.
  • Experience performing advanced analytics, log analysis, and forensic triage for CI and insider threat investigations.
  • Experience maintaining documentation including SOPs, analytic development notes, and deployment records.
  • Ability to translate hunt findings into actionable detection enhancements and visibility recommendations.
