Senior Technical Project Manager, Radiology

What you'll do

• Own the XNAT project roadmap by translating strategic goals into actionable sprints and milestones.
• Plan and track software delivery across internal teams and external contributors using Agile and Kanban methodologies.
• Act as the primary operational point of contact for the open-source developer and user community.
• Manage the end-to-end release process including versioning, branching, changelog management, and distribution.
• Maintain CI/CD pipeline health and coordinate release readiness across engineering, QA, and documentation teams.
• Develop and oversee the documentation strategy for both technical developer content and end-user guides.
• Prepare progress reports and deliverable documentation for federal and institutional funders like NIH and ARPA-H.
• Track and visualize project health metrics, community engagement, and release cadence for leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
• Seven years of experience in technical project management, program management, or a senior engineering leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing open-source software projects or large multi-stakeholder software initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, Git workflows, and release engineering.
• Exceptional written communication skills and proven ability to produce high-quality technical and end-user documentation.
• Experience writing reports and deliverable documentation for government or institutional funders like NIH, NSF, or DoD.
• Ability to coordinate across geographically distributed teams with varying technical backgrounds.
• Background in biomedical informatics, medical imaging, radiology, or a related scientific domain (preferred).
