The Senior Tech Ops - Hawaii (Secret Clearance Required) joins the network operations team to provide essential monitoring, statusing, and maintenance of network operations. This role involves managing switching equipment, radio equipment, and data communications equipment while coordinating critical incident responses and reporting service impacts to leadership and customers. The successful candidate will utilize extensive knowledge of communications systems and network operations, applying technical skills in network management systems and corresponding tools. The work focuses on supporting missions critical to national security across cyber, RF, undersea, and interstellar space domains. Key competencies include developing solutions for complex problems, communicating with system customers, and identifying opportunities to apply Artificial Intelligence for continuous improvement. This position requires a Secret clearance and a background in specialized technical fields.
Monitor and status network operations including switching, radio, and data communications equipment.
Perform maintenance on switching, radio, and data communications equipment.
Coordinate critical incident responses and communicate service impacts to leadership and customers.
Apply network management systems and corresponding tools to manage communications systems.
Develop innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems.
Identify opportunities to apply Artificial Intelligence for continuous process improvement.
Interface with customers to provide technical support for the system or network.
What we're looking for
U.S. citizenship is required.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Master's degree is accepted as an alternative to the Bachelor's degree and experience requirement.
Extensive knowledge of communications systems and network operations.
Solid knowledge in the technical application of network management systems and corresponding tools.
Strong ability to develop solutions to highly complex problems that require significant ingenuity, innovation and creativity (preferred).
Solid communication skills to interface with customers of the system or network (preferred).
