Senior Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage the Jamf Pro environment including configuration profiles, smart groups, policies, and MDM commands.
• Oversee the AutoPkg software pipeline for packaging, deployment, and patch management across the macOS fleet.
• Develop automated tools and scripts using Python, Swift, Bash, or Go to eliminate manual IT operations.
• Manage zero-touch provisioning and device enrollment workflows to ensure new users are productive immediately.
• Implement Zero Trust security models by integrating device posture with Okta for identity-based access.
• Establish technical standards and documentation for the broader IT organization regarding endpoint management and compliance.
• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex troubleshooting of endpoint and device management issues.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience managing macOS at scale with enterprise MDM or open-source tooling.
• Production experience building and operating AutoPkg recipes, overrides, and trust controls is required.
• In-depth understanding of Apple's MDM protocol, Configuration Profile specifications, and Declarative Device Management.
• Deep knowledge of macOS fundamentals including LaunchDaemons, system extensions, and built-in security tooling.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose or scripting language such as Python, Swift, Bash, or Go.
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust/BeyondCorp concepts and how endpoint posture informs identity-based access.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Jamf Certified Admin (300/400) or experience with Windows management, Infrastructure as Code, and EDR tools (preferred).
