What you'll do

  • Manage propulsion engines and mechanical casting commodities from new product introduction through full production.
  • Vet supplier production capabilities, facility layouts, and workforce capacity for inclusion on the Approved Supplier List.
  • Oversee the implementation of new production tooling and lines to ensure materials and processes meet performance requirements.
  • Drive process performance and statistical process control (SPC) reviews at supplier sites.
  • Optimize factory layouts and manufacturing processes to reduce costs, mitigate risks, and improve cycle times.
  • Lead root cause investigations and close out corrective actions for quality issues in coordination with suppliers.
  • Manage capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-ups at supplier locations.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical expertise in propulsion engines, mechanical casting manufacturing, energetics CAD, or GD&T.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
  • Preferred degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
