Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, COTS/MOTS

What you'll do

• Drive supplier quality development processes through design reviews, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies.
• Develop and implement functional test and performance validation processes at suppliers for critical COTS/MOTS parts.
• Manage supplier quality readiness by analyzing technical specifications and developing measurement systems, PPAP, and FAIR documentation.
• Mitigate supply chain risks by conducting audits, performing readiness reviews, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities and manage Material Review Board (MRB) containment for purchased goods.
• Execute the Supplier Corrective Action_Report_ (SCAR) process to ensure supplier effectiveness and share lessons learned.
• Audit supplier Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with internal requirements and customer flow-down specifications.
• Conduct onsite audits and reviews of supplier facilities to verify contract deliverables and quality management compliance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, onsite Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, micro-electronics, and mechanical assembly processes.
• Working knowledge and auditing experience of AS9100/ISO 9001-based Quality Management Systems.
• Proficiency in Six Sigma and performing First Article Inspections to the AS9102 standard.
• Knowledge of product development methodologies including APQP, PPAP (FMEA, QCP), SPC, and MSA.
• Experience with failure analysis techniques such as 5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone, and Shainin Red X.
• Must be a U.S. Person to access export-controlled information or facilities.
