What you'll do

Architect core payment platforms for high availability, low latency, and cost efficiency at global scale.
Lead the end-to-end design and rollout of large, cross-team initiatives like new global rails and migrations.
Enforce technical standards for financial correctness including idempotency, reconciliation, and auditability for all money movements.
Design cohesive architectures that balance customer experience with risk controls, compliance, and unit economics.
Provide deep technical mentorship to senior and staff engineers on system design and maintainability.
Communicate complex technical tradeoffs to executive stakeholders to secure alignment on high-impact decisions.

What we're looking for

10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
Deep expertise in backend programming using languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
Expertise in cloud-native architecture for high availability and low latency at global scale.
Experience in money-movement architecture including PSPs, ISO 20022, routing, double-entry ledgering, and high-volume payment systems.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional technical initiatives and mentoring senior engineers in system design.
Ability to communicate complex technical tradeoffs clearly to executive and cross-org stakeholders.
Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
