What you'll do

Define architecture and contracts for moving models from development to production including feature stores and schema management.
Build a unified serving stack to eliminate one-off implementations and provide a turnkey path for data scientists.
Architect backfill and evaluation infrastructure to allow the modeling team to simulate production inference over historical data.
Establish and enforce domain contracts between Modeling and Serving teams to enable independent movement.
Write and review code for feature engineering jobs, feature store configurations, and serving service endpoints.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define artifact handoffs and integration contracts for pricing systems.
Drive milestone planning and project sequencing across the Host Pricing and Settings organization.
Mentor engineers through design reviews and hands-on pairing on complex infrastructure problems.

What we're looking for

12+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering.
Substantial experience building production ML systems or data-intensive infrastructure.
Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Kotlin, Scala, and/or Python.
Deep understanding of ML systems design, including feature stores, training/serving consistency, and model versioning.
Experience with high-scale batch and real-time data pipelines using Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or equivalent.
Expertise in architectural patterns for large, high-scale applications and multi-tenant serving infrastructure.
Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives spanning ML and platform engineering.
Preferred experience with feature stores like Chronon, Tecton, or Feast and model serving frameworks.
