TL;DR · Senior Staff Business Systems Analyst, Legal Technology

Senior Staff Business Systems Analyst – Legal Technology joins the FLP Tech team to lead a major transformation of the legal technology portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of product management and business systems analysis, where you will own the multi-year roadmap, manage stakeholder partnerships with legal practice groups, and oversee the transition from manual processes toward agentic orchestration of legal work. You will perform build versus buy evaluations, design integrations for contract lifecycle management and eDiscovery, and develop prototypes for generative AI and knowledge management. Key technical competencies include experience with ServiceNow, Workato, and Tonkean, as well as familiarity with Ironclad, Databricks, and Tableau. You must possess deep expertise in legal workflows, including matter intake, regulatory monitoring, and privacy operations, while translating complex requirements into actionable specifications for engineering teams to solve core business challenges.

What you'll do

  • Define and own the multi-year Legal Technology roadmap including initiative sequencing, dependencies, and capacity planning.
  • Translate legal practice group requirements into technical specifications and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Manage the unified legal front door by designing omni-channel intake workflows and migrating legacy processes to a modern platform.
  • Execute "Build vs. Buy" evaluations by conducting vendor assessments, proof of concepts, and cost-of-ownership analyses.
  • Design integrations between service delivery layers and systems like CLM, eDiscovery, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Build prototypes and pilot programs for Generative AI and agentic workflows to automate repetitive legal tasks.
  • Establish data baselines and reporting to measure portfolio health, user adoption, and cycle time reduction.
  • Set the craft standard for requirements, solution design, and business cases across the Legal Tech team.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise software products or business systems solutions as a business systems analyst, technical product manager, or solution owner.
  • Experience supporting legal, compliance, finance, or other regulated business functions is required.
  • Proven ability to build and execute multi-year roadmaps while managing prioritization trade-offs and defending decisions to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, process mapping, use case/user story writing, data mapping, test strategy, and UAT.
  • Familiarity with legal workflows including contract lifecycle management, eDiscovery, regulatory monitoring, and privacy operations.
  • Hands-on configuration experience with orchestration or low-code tools like ServiceNow, Tonkean, or Workato.
  • Technical acumen in API strategies, integration patterns, identity and access, and AI/ML workflows.
  • A BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent work experience (preferred); a background in Legal Operations is a significant plus (preferred).
