The Senior Specialist, Systems Engineering joins an Integrated Product Team to develop systems for a diverse customer base. Key technical skills include network socket programming, TCP/IP, UDP, and web framework development. You will also design multi-threaded, distributed systems using XML, JSON, and REST APIs. The role addresses complex system architecture, operational performance requirements, and software integration for defense technology applications.

What you'll do

Convert algorithms into real-time, reusable DSP C/C++ code compliant with existing system architectures.
Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
Use Object Oriented Programming (OOP) methodologies to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems.
Design and develop multi-threaded, distributed systems using network socket programming and protocols like TCP/IP and UDP.
Develop web applications using popular web frameworks and handle data communications via XML, JSON, and REST APIs.
Investigate and resolve software defects while preparing and producing software component releases.
Evaluate and advance system architecture, component interfaces, and operational performance requirements.
Develop technical documentation as needed to support software development and system integration.

What we're looking for

Active US TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated Object Oriented Programming experience with a strong focus on Java, C++, or JavaScript.
Experience with the Linux Operating System including developing and testing software.
Experience with network socket programming and protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
U.S. citizens.
