As a Senior Specialist, Software Quality Engineering, you will join a small team of experts to design, develop, and implement standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company software and hardware products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. You will participate in the complete lifecycle of algorithms, controls, and subsystems for complex aerospace applications while managing projects and making improvements to systems and processes. Preferred skills include knowledge of satellite payloads, space domain applications, computer architecture, networks, SysML/UML, Python, Agile, DevSecOps, Jira, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, Confluence, Real-Time Operating Systems, multi-threaded applications, and AS9100D process audits.

What you'll do

Design and implement standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting and testing software and hardware products.
Ensure all products comply with specific contractual and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the full lifecycle of aerospace algorithms, controls, and subsystems from design to support.
Manage complex projects and processes with general oversight.
Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis to identify and resolve technical issues.
Improve existing systems and processes to enhance departmental results.
Review and interpret engineering drawings for software and hardware integration.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience, a graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or no degree and 10 years of experience.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance or higher.
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience with engineering drawing review and interpretation.
Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis.
Background in developing and maintaining satellite payloads (preferred).
Knowledge of space domain, computer architecture, networks, and Real-Time Operating Systems (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
