What you'll do

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for complex avionics hardware including circuit card assemblies and cable harnesses.
Create and maintain assembly method sheets, work instructions, process flows, and technical manufacturing documentation.
Design and develop manufacturing tools, fixtures, and systems using additive manufacturing and other tooling methods.
Drive automation and semi-automation initiatives for manual processes like torque application and chemical dispensing.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for process escapes, nonconformances, and recurring defects.
Analyze workflow, labor content, and material flow to improve production throughput and cycle times.
Coordinate manufacturing readiness activities for new product introductions and engineering change implementations.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to manufacturing technicians to ensure proper execution of processes.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience, a Graduate Degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance or an FAA Public Trust Clearance.
Experience with CCA manufacturing processes, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical assemblies (preferred).
Working knowledge of IPC-6012, IPC-6013, IPC-A-600, and IPC 6018 (preferred).
Background in manufacturing electronics for Military and Government Systems (preferred).
Experience with Lean principles including mistake proofing, 3P, 5S+1, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, and Gemba (preferred).
Familiarity with MRP systems, Aegis based Manufacturing Execution Systems, PTC CREO, technical writing, MS Project, or MS SharePoint (preferred).
