Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineering - TS/SCI joins a talented team to perform complex electronics design and analysis using specialized electrical design tools. This role involves schematic capture, functional and block diagram generation, and creating electrical wiring diagrams for digital, power, analog, and mixed-signal designs. The engineer will collaborate within an integrated product team to meet project cost and schedule milestones while performing CCA design for circuits involving A/D, D/A, processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic like FPGA and CPLD. Key technical tasks include designing high-speed memory interfaces, utilizing HDI and Meg6 board technologies, and conducting hardware debugging with signal generators and oscilloscopes. The role requires expertise in Xilinx FPGAs, TI DSPs, and Freescale or Intel processors to solve complex digital design challenges within a defense technology context.
Perform electronics design including schematic capture, functional diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams for digital, power, and analog systems.
Design mixed-signal technology circuits featuring A/D, D/A, processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic like FPGAs and CPLDs.
Develop circuit designs incorporating high-speed memory interfaces (DDRx) and various processor types including Xilinx, TI, Freescale, or Intel.
Manage the full digital CCA design process from requirements generation and preliminary design to test plan generation and integration.
Utilize specialized schematic software for constraint-driven layout, simulation, and timing analysis of circuit card designs.
Implement advanced board technologies such as HDI, Meg6, and back drilling in hardware designs.
Perform hardware debugging using signal generators, logic analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes.
Meet project cost and schedule milestones while participating in key customer reviews.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Experience with high-speed memory and network interfaces and protocols (preferred).
TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (preferred).
Ability to lead a design team as a self-motivated individual (preferred).
Ability to work in a team environment and negotiate solutions with Hardware, Software, and Systems Engineering (preferred).
Knowledge of high-complexity digital design techniques and devices (preferred).
