The Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer joins the Spectral Solutions business area within the Space Mission Systems segment. This role involves leading small teams through the product life-cycle to design circuit card assemblies for ground and space-based applications. Key responsibilities include designing digital, analog, and power circuits, performing schematic capture, and conducting circuit analysis for Beginning of Life and End of Life applications. The engineer must evaluate EMI, Signal Integrity, and IR drop impacts while selecting key materials and components. Required technical skills include experience with SPICE, MathCAD, Matlab, Simulink, Allegro, Xpedition, and MentorGraphics tools. The work focuses on high-reliability space-based remote sensing end-to-end systems, providing active and motion imaging, data processing, and exploitation for government, civil, and commercial users.
Lead and own the design of circuit card assemblies from concept to on-orbit operations.
Design digital, analog, and power circuits for ground and space-based applications.
Perform schematic capture and circuit analysis for Beginning of Life and End of Life applications.
Evaluate EMI, Signal Integrity, and IR drop impacts on signals.
Select key materials and components and maintain circuit card specifications and requirements.
Lead small teams through the full product life-cycle and provide mentorship to early career engineers.
Execute trade studies and participate in technical reviews.

What we're looking for
Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 6 years of experience, a Graduate Degree in Engineering with 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Experience designing in a space environment (preferred).
Experience with schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power, analog, and digital circuits (preferred).
Experience in precision analog design, power supply design, stability analysis, noise analysis, FPGA interfaces, or signal integrity (preferred).
Experience performing worst-case analysis on analog, digital, and power circuits (preferred).
Experience with SPICE, MathCAD, Matlab, Simulink, Allegro, Xpedition, and MentorGraphics tools (preferred).
