As a Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer, you will join a dedicated team supporting military communication products throughout their entire lifecycle. Working within a laboratory setting adjacent to manufacturing, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose hardware problems to the component level and implement corrective actions through experimentation and simulation. Your daily responsibilities include monitoring factory yields, mitigating component shortages by qualifying alternatives, and performing root cause analysis for new product launches. You will provide technical guidance to junior engineers while managing tasks related to manufacturability and testability. The role requires expertise in analog, digital, and RF circuitry using tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators. Proficiency in LabVIEW and Jira is preferred. This position addresses critical engineering challenges in the defense sector, specifically ensuring high-quality production for complex communication systems.
Troubleshoot analog, digital, and RF circuits to the component level using standard lab equipment.
Investigate manufacturing failures and determine corrective actions to improve factory yields.
Mitigate component shortages by selecting, qualifying, and testing alternative electronic components.
Perform root cause analysis and design improvements to enhance product quality and testability.
Manage circuit redesigns and modifications during the transition of new products into full-rate production.
Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians while coordinating tasks for technical teams.
Conduct engineering experiments and use simulation tools to analyze complex circuitry.
Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve material discrepancies.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s EE degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience, a Graduate Degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Experience in leading small technical design or troubleshooting teams while providing direction and prioritizing tasks.
Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting to the component level for analog, digital, and RF circuits.
Ability to use lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum/network analyzers, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
Ability to design and conduct engineering experiments and perform circuit analysis using simulation tools.
