Senior Specialist, Automation

What you'll do

• Analyze production processes to identify and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Design and implement manufacturing technologies to optimize throughput and improve operational cycle times.
• Troubleshoot and maintain custom automation systems and robotics.
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve production issues in coordination with quality assurance teams.
• Provide technical support for new product development to ensure manufacturability and scalability of designs.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including flowcharts and standard operating procedures.
• Manage the full lifecycle of automation projects, from drafting requirements to testing and production transition.
• Monitor and report on process performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of automation/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Graduate degree and minimum 4 years of automation/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Minimum 10 years of automation/manufacturing engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, chemical, or related engineering discipline (preferred).
• Knowledge of automation systems involving robotic cells, vision systems, motion control, or testing solutions (preferred).
• Experience programming and sustaining control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
