Senior Software Engineer, Security Frameworks

What you'll do

• Design and implement client libraries and SDKs to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Develop security frameworks in multiple languages including Java, Go, Swift, Rust, and TypeScript.
• Implement core security functions such as request verification, token issuance, and authentication.
• Build systems for durable decision logging, policy updates, and caching.
• Manage SDK architecture features like dependency injection, retry logic, and error handling strategies.
• Secure RESTful and gRPC APIs using mTLS, input validation, and authorization mechanisms.
• Maintain cross-platform API consistency across different programming languages and runtime environments.
• Implement monitoring and telemetry for client libraries including error reporting and performance metrics.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of software development or production operations experience in a large-scale environment.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Strong programming skills in Golang and Java, with willingness to learn Swift, Rust, Python, and TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating high-performant client SDKs and libraries featuring caching, versioning, and feature flagging.
• Knowledge of securing APIs, including input validation, mTLS, authentication, and authorization for RESTful and gRPC APIs.
• Experience designing and implementing SDK architecture patterns like dependency injection, plugin systems, and retry logic (preferred).
• Deep understanding of IAM concepts, Policy-as-Code systems, and client-side security best practices (preferred).
• Experience with cross-platform SDK development, backward compatibility strategies, and monitoring/telemetry in client libraries (preferred).
