The Senior Software Engineer, Rust joins a small, innovative team to solve complex problems in target tracking and state estimation. You will architect, maintain, and evolve high-performance software systems, refactoring existing codebases to improve scalability and performance. Daily responsibilities include prototyping and deploying state-of-the-art algorithms for multi-sensor data fusion, designing robust filters, and implementing probabilistic reasoning systems. You will develop real-time software for tactical implementations, simulations, and decision support tools. Key technologies include Rust, Python, NoSQL databases, and big data pipelines. The role requires expertise in applied mathematics, including linear algebra, optimization, and stochastic processes. What we're looking for
8+ years of professional software engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or another technical field.
Advanced degree in a technical field (preferred).
At least 2+ years of experience working on and maintaining a single codebase or product as requirements evolved.
Demonstrated experience managing and evolving software architecture in production environments, including refactoring legacy systems and managing technical debt.
Proficiency in algorithm design, software development, and statistical modeling using Rust and Python.
Solid understanding of applied mathematics, including linear algebra, optimization, probability, and stochastic processes.
Familiarity with big data pipelines, NoSQL databases, and efficient handling of large-scale sensor data.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
