Senior Software Engineer, Rust

What you'll do

• Architect, maintain, and refactor complex software systems to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems, simulations, and decision support tools.
• Prototype and deploy algorithms for target tracking, multi-sensor data fusion, and state estimation.
• Design and implement robust filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning systems for noisy sensor data.
• Analyze system performance using high-fidelity simulations, modeling tools, and rigorous statistical techniques.
• Customize algorithms and software to meet specific mission-critical use cases for customers.
• Integrate tracking and estimation technologies into the full software development lifecycle from requirements to optimization.
• Translate technical progress into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders and end-users.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or another technical field.
• Advanced degree in a technical field (preferred).
• At least 2+ years of experience working on and maintaining a single codebase or product.
• Demonstrated experience managing software architecture in production environments, including refactoring legacy systems and managing technical debt.
• Proficiency in algorithm design, software development, and statistical modeling using Rust and Python.
• Solid understanding of applied mathematics, including linear algebra, optimization, probability, and stochastic processes.
• Familiarity with big data pipelines, NoSQL databases, and handling large-scale sensor data.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
