Senior Software Engineer, Java

What you'll do

• Develop a future-proof API layer to expose commerce lifecycle capabilities to various front-end devices and service partners.
• Design and develop robust API contracts and scalable microservices for internal clients.
• Create technical proposals to illustrate high-level designs and system flows between clients and backend systems.
• Analyze business implications and user flows for sign-up and account management processes.
• Manage core commerce dependencies including subscription, billing, and payment systems.
• Execute the full software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, load testing, and performance measurement.
• Translate product requirements into well-defined technical implementations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Strong code design and architectural skills.
• Experience with Java server-side development and working at scale with high RPS throughput.
• API design experience including authoring and providing feedback to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SQL, test automation, and CI/CD.
• Outstanding communication, collaboration skills, and a strong ethic of teamwork.
• Experience with AI tooling, Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Spring WebFlux, GraphQL, gRPC, or AWS (preferred).
