Senior Software Engineer, iCloud Messaging Identity Services

What you'll do

• Drive features end-to-end across the software development lifecycle from exploration to operations.
• Build scalable and highly-available web services in partnership with storage and infrastructure teams.
• Develop identity and discovery backend services for Messages and FaceTime.
• Implement account and phone number authentication and identity access management systems.
• Support the development of satellite messaging and spam combatting features.
• Represent the team in cross-functional settings to lead projects in areas of expertise.
• Partner with Mobile, Web, Design, and Security teams to build messaging products.

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience in Java, Go, C#, or similar languages.
• Experience in building large-scale, highly-available cloud services.
• Experience with distributed database systems (such as Cassandra).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of multi-threading, non-blocking I/O, and networking concepts (preferred).
• Experience with applied cryptography (encryption, key exchange, hashing, certificates) (preferred).
• Familiarity with identity, authentication, and authorization systems at scale (preferred).
