What you'll do

Design and develop distributed applications that ingest and process massive volumes of operational data.
Integrate large-scale data processing engines like Spark, Trino, or Flink into the service architecture.
Deploy, scale, and maintain highly concurrent and throughput-intensive services on Kubernetes.
Drive end-to-end project execution from initial design reviews through production releases.
Triage, investigate, and remediate complex production and operational issues.
Build observability tools and infrastructure to provide insight into the health of CloudKit and iCloud services.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent job-related experience.
5+ years of experience developing software in Java, C++, C#, Go, or a similar language.
Strong background in designing, building, and operating backend services and distributed systems.
Experience programming in concurrent and multi-threaded environments.
Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink, Trino) and languages like Scala or Python (preferred).
Familiarity with time-series event data, systems, and distributed streaming architectures (preferred).
Experience with observability concepts, frameworks, and cloud native technologies (preferred).
