Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack/Frontend The Senior Software Engineer joins the Messaging and Real-Time Analytics team within Azure Data to build the next generation of real-time data experiences for Microsoft Fabric. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to transform complex data and AI workflows into accessible, responsive user interfaces. You will contribute to front-end architecture, shared UI components, and production-ready code while ensuring reliability and performance. The role requires proficiency in TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You will solve technical challenges at the intersection of distributed systems and data platforms to provide actionable real-time insights.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop modern front-end experiences using TypeScript and React.
  • Build accessible, responsive, and performant user interfaces for real-time data analysis.
  • Develop maintainable, production-ready code and conduct peer code reviews.
  • Contribute to front-end architecture and shared UI components across Microsoft Fabric.
  • Use telemetry and experimentation to measure and improve usability and performance.
  • Resolve reliability, scalability, and accessibility issues affecting customer experiences.
  • Partner with platform teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end customer scenarios.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (preferred).
  • Experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or similar technologies (preferred).
  • Experience designing and implementing accessible, responsive, and highly performant user experiences (preferred).
  • Experience building customer-facing applications for cloud, analytics, data, or enterprise software platforms (preferred).
  • Familiarity with front-end performance optimization, telemetry, experimentation frameworks, and customer usage analytics (preferred).
  • Experience collaborating closely with UX designers to deliver polished, user-centered product experiences (preferred).
