As a Senior Software Engineer - CTJ - Poly on the Microsoft Defender engineering team, you will build and deliver cloud solutions designed for high scale within government environments. Your daily responsibilities include building and improving services to ensure they are scalable and highly reliable, contributing to the design and automation of service scale features, and investigating both pre-production and production issues to implement necessary fixes. What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 4+ years of engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of engineering experience with coding in relevant programming languages.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of engineering experience with coding in relevant programming languages.
Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
Verification of U.S. citizenship is required due to legal restrictions for government agency support.
Experience with CI/CD concepts and Git.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
Experience building and supporting large-scale production services including logging, monitoring, alerting, and reliability measurement.
